ToothbrushGroupFree toothbrushes and toothpaste, 200 boxes of each, were given to the Verona Area School District. Madison4Kids made the donation with the help of Associated Dentists. District nurses will distribute the items to students who frequently visit the nurse’s office. Many of the students qualify for free and reduced lunch, and live in households that may not have the means to provide basic hygiene items.

“The brushes and paste will come in handy when trying to meet the needs of the students that we serve” said Pamela K. Hammen, Verona High School Principal.  “The donation will help reduce the days that students are absent because of toothaches and thereby help to improve overall student success. We know that you are helping many students in the Madison area and we appreciate your efforts.”

Judy Miyagawa, Madison4kids Executive Director shared appreciation, “This was a wonderful gift to the children in our area who are in need.  This falls right in line with our mission to help children be as healthy as possible, boosting confidence, inspiring them to take care of their teeth as well as learning the importance of good dental care.” Local groups are invited to apply for a grant at Madison4kids.com.
